The use of nanomaterials and advanced optical imaging for targeted cellular communication as cancer therapy by extracellular vesicles
The aim of my research is to manipulate the level of extracellular vesicle-exchange and their genetic content in order to obtain favorable responses in view of cancer therapy. Therefore, I will develop a novel method that would enable researchers to visualize transfer of genetic information from donor cells to acceptor cells at high sensitivity and high speed, using optical imaging. This method can then be applied to validate the effect of different types of biomedically relevant nanomaterials on tumor malignancy and immunotherapy by means of extracellular vesicles.
